Shakilla, an emerging figure in the world of social media, recently took to her Instagram account to share private communications she had with former radio DJ Andrew Kibe. Shortly thereafter, she used the same platform to make some startling revelations about Eric Omondi.
In her posts, Shakilla accused the comedian of exploiting her for the sake of garnering free publicity for his performances. One of the primary instances she pointed to was Omondi’s alleged refusal to compensate her and other members of the cast for their work on the infamous Wife Material show in 2021. According to Shakilla, Eric Omondi has been unresponsive to her attempts to reach out, leaving her without the compensation she believes she is owed.
Shakilla’s frustration with Eric’s actions prompted her to take a more theatrical approach to capitalize on the situation. She expressed her grievances on Instagram Live, stating, “Eric has used me in so many ways. He did not pay me or any of the other participants in the Wife Material show, and his bias and unfairness in selecting the winner forced me to find a clever way to benefit from the show.” She went on to add, “If I can’t receive any financial compensation from this, at the very least, I’ll gain a stronger presence on social media.”
Additionally, Shakilla called on Eric Omondi to live up to his claims of supporting local talent. She asserted, “Eric uses people. You cannot profess to be a supporter of artists while neglecting to compensate content creators.”
As of now, Eric Omondi has not issued a response to these allegations.
It’s worth noting that Shakilla, often referred to as the “Club Covid queen,” has faced a fair share of controversy in the past. She was recently targeted by Mishi Dora, who posted a warning message about her on social media. Consequently, Shakilla’s absence from social media has been attributed to these various factors, including her recent clash with Eric Omondi.
