Bahati’s Alleged Mom Reveals Why He Chose His Dad and How They Separated After 7 Months Together

A woman claiming to be the biological mother of Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati has opened up about how she met the man she believes is the artist’s father and why their relationship ended.

Judith Makokha first drew public attention in 2025 after alleging that she gave birth to Bahati but later left him at a children’s home due to financial hardship. Her claims shocked many fans, as the singer has consistently maintained that his mother died and that he attended her funeral more than two decades ago.

In a recent interview, Judith shared details about her past. She said she met Bahati’s alleged father in 1993 after leaving Western Kenya in search of employment. According to her, she secured a job at a workplace where three men were employed — two from the Luhya community and one from the Kamba community.

She said she developed feelings for the Kamba man, who reportedly expressed a desire for marriage rather than a casual relationship. Judith stated that they moved in together and lived as a couple for about seven months.

She later felt the need to inform her parents about the relationship, explaining that she did not want to keep it a secret. However, she claimed that her parents disapproved, leading to tension that eventually caused the relationship to collapse. Since then, she says, she has not been in contact with the man and does not know his current whereabouts.

Amid the controversy, Bahati has agreed to undergo a DNA test to establish the truth. He has publicly stated that he is prepared to accept any outcome but insists on scientific proof before making any decisions. The results are expected within approximately two weeks.

The unfolding story has sparked mixed reactions online. Some Kenyans have expressed sympathy for Judith, while others remain skeptical about her claims. As the public awaits the DNA results, both Bahati and Judith have said they are ready to accept whatever the findings reveal.
