ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has sparked controversy by criticizing Senator Junet Mohammed over the party’s election preparations. Speaking publicly, Sifuna alleged that Junet failed to effectively support Raila Odinga’s campaign, resulting in disorganization among agents tasked with mobilizing voters.
Sifuna said, “Junet didn’t deliver as expected during the campaign; our agents were left struggling, and that affected the ground work.” While he did not provide financial details, his remarks pointed to what he described as mismanagement within the campaign machinery.
The comments immediately drew mixed reactions. Supporters of Sifuna praised him for being candid about challenges in party operations, while Junet’s allies dismissed the claims as political bickering. Analysts note that the exchange reflects rising tensions within ODM as leaders debate accountability and strategy ahead of future elections.
