Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has finally broken her silence following a viral incident involving 15 police officers. The officers were heavily disciplined after videos and photos surfaced showing them scrambling to take selfies with her, a move deemed unprofessional by the National Police Service (NPS).
The NPS ordered that the 15 officers be sent back to the police training school for several months, stating that their behavior embarrassed the service and tarnished its public image.
Reacting on her official Instagram Stories, Vera Sidika expressed deep regret over the incident. She admitted feeling guilty, acknowledging that her presence inadvertently led to the officers’ punishment. “I really regret what happened. I never intended for this to happen, and I feel responsible for the consequences they are facing,” she wrote.
