Tears of Joy as CS Murkomen Surprises Pastor Who Took Him In 22 Years Ago With a Brand New Car

In a powerful display of gratitude and faith, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has gifted a vehicle to Reverend Chemjor of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Pombo, over two decades after the cleric hosted him during his 2002 evangelism mission.

The symbolic handover took place during a vibrant Sunday service at AIC Pombo in Mogotio Constituency. Representing CS Murkomen, area Member of Parliament Reuben Kiborek delivered the vehicle on his behalf, describing the moment as a beautiful full-circle experience.

“It was a joyous Sunday at AIC Pombo as we officially handed over a vehicle to Reverend Chemjor a generous gift from CS Kipchumba Murkomen,” Kiborek shared in a Facebook post.

“In 2002, Reverend Chemjor opened his home to Murkomen during an evangelism mission. Today, that seed of kindness is bearing fruit.”the MP noted.

The gesture, which stirred deep emotions within the congregation, marked not only a personal act of appreciation but also a reaffirmation of Murkomen’s enduring Christian values.

Known for his roots in church leadership, the CS has often credited his spiritual upbringing and early ministry work for shaping his public service career.

“At the University of Nairobi, I led the Christian Union and various leadership fellowships,” Murkomen once told the National Assembly during his Cabinet vetting.

The act of generosity comes at a time when Murkomen is also leading critical security operations in the volatile Kerio Valley region.

Just days before the church event, he visited the family of slain Catholic priest Father Alloys Bett, who was gunned down in a brutal attack in Cheplasgei Village, Nandi County.

Murkomen condemned the killing as an act of terror aimed at sabotaging recent government crackdowns on banditry in the region.

He vowed that security agencies would not relent until those responsible were brought to justice.
