Paul Kihumba:Student Who Scored 273 in KCPE Turns Out to Score Grade A in KCSE

A student from Mioro Secondary School in Mathioya, Murang’a County, has inspired Kenyans with his remarkable academic journey. Paul Kihumba, who scored 273 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), recently achieved an impressive grade A- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), proving that determination and hard work can overcome challenges.

Kihumba initially sat for the KCSE in 2022 and attained a B-, a result that left him dissatisfied. Refusing to settle, he made the bold decision to repeat Form Four. His perseverance paid off when he secured 78 points, earning him the coveted A- grade.

“I worked tirelessly to achieve this score, and I am proud of the results. My dream is to pursue a course in Information Technology at the University of Nairobi,” he shared.

Kihumba credited his success to his disciplined routine, which involved waking up early to begin his studies by 6 a.m. and staying late at school to study into the night. His unwavering commitment and focus played a crucial role in his academic transformation.

Despite his remarkable achievement, Kihumba faces financial challenges that threaten to derail his dream of higher education. He is now appealing to well-wishers for support to help him secure a brighter future through university education.
