Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has publicly reaffirmed his support for President William Ruto’s administration, urging Kenyans to rally behind the government’s ongoing development efforts.
Speaking in Ugunja Constituency on Sunday, Wandayi commended the President’s leadership, describing the current administration as inclusive and focused on national transformation. He noted that, in his view, the government is better positioned to deliver tangible change compared to opposition figures.
“If given a choice between President William Ruto and other political leaders, I would confidently stand with the President,” he said, receiving a warm response from the crowd.
Wandayi further emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in driving Kenya’s economic recovery. He praised the current leadership for implementing key reforms and economic strategies aimed at improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
Highlighting the benefits of cross-party collaboration, Wandayi acknowledged Azimio leader Raila Odinga for supporting national development efforts, noting that such partnerships have contributed to political stability and policy progress.
“The broad-based government has made commendable progress in stabilizing the economy and easing the burden on Kenyans,” he stated.
The Energy CS encouraged the public to support government initiatives, pointing to ongoing projects and policy reforms as evidence of the administration’s dedication to uplifting the nation.
He also called on political leaders to prioritize the country’s interests, cautioning against divisive rhetoric that could hinder progress.
