Morara Kebaso, a 28-year-old Gen Z, has been vocal in his criticism of President William Ruto’s administration, particularly in exposing questionable projects that the president has been launching across the country.
In addition to his political activism, Kebaso is a senior lawyer and a successful entrepreneur. He owns Morara Furnitures, a business with branches nationwide that generates millions in revenue.
During an interview with Lyn Ngugi, Kebaso shared that he currently owns five Toyota Prados. He acquired his first Prado with the help of a bank loan, making an initial deposit of Ksh. 1 million and paying Ksh. 100,000 monthly thereafter.
The first Prado, valued at approximately Ksh. 6 million, was put into a car hire business, where it generated about Ksh. 260,000 per month, given the high demand for Prados in Kenya, with a daily rental rate of Ksh. 10,000.
Kebaso expanded his car hire business and furniture enterprise, eventually acquiring three more Prados for business purposes and one for personal use. Remarkably, by the age of 28, he owns five Prados. Despite his young age, Kebaso is also a family man, having married at 21 and now raising two children.
