A man in Gichugu village of Kirinyaga has destroyed farm produce worth thousands after his beloved wife decided to go to the market instead of celebrating Father’s Day.
The man destroyed bunches of bananas worth over Sh 50,000 in anger, blaming his wife for not being physically available as the world marks the rare International day.
“Mimi nimekasirika sana juu bibi yangu alienda sokoni badala ya kunitakia na kucelebrate father’s day na mimi, ata kiss sijapata,” he said.
The wife who spoke exclusively to muranganewspaper.co.ke said that she decided to go to the market to sell the bananas and then later surprise her husband in the evening.
“I only wanted to get money after selling the bananas. In the evening, I had planned to surprise him but he has destroyed the day for me,” she said.
The world is celebrating Father’s day today, June 20 and Kenyans have trooped to social media to show love to fathers in their lives.
