“I have engaged in various jobs in this town! Construction work is also a job that should not be dismissed!” asserts Lindah Oguttu.
The arrival of Linda at KTN caused a significant stir in the industry, generating waves of excitement and anticipation. She captivated numerous viewers, and even today, many of them can vividly imagine her appearance and voice on the screen, long after her departure.
Lindah Oguttu became synonymous with excellence and emerged as a formidable presence in the broadcasting world, garnering the love and admiration of thousands, if not millions, locally.
In her career journey, Lindah Oguttu also found herself playing a crucial role as a committee member of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Secretariat.
During that time, the country was engulfed in turmoil due to a painful ban imposed by FIFA. Lindah, along with her team, embarked on a mission to find a way forward, seeking solutions to the numerous challenges that were plaguing local sports and hindering any progress.
Following her departure from the esteemed position as a news anchor at KTN and her involvement with FKF, Lindah Oguttu’s life took an unexpected turn. She now finds herself laboring tirelessly in the demanding world of construction, where hard work and sweat-drenched brows have become her daily companions. However, she is still earning a substantial income as a contractor.
Lindah’s journey in construction became a viral sensation when she shared photos of herself at a construction site, donning a helmet. Nevertheless, she is now urging her fans to refrain from sharing that story with her.
In a tweet, she appeals, “People, please stop sending me this story. I have engaged in various jobs in this town. My first salary was 4,000 KES, and I was living in Gachie. I know what it means to hustle. So what’s wrong if I work in construction? As long as we can put food on the table. The best part is enjoying freshly cooked meals from local eateries. Construction work is also a job that should not be dismissed!”
