The celebrated gospel musician and Evangelist confirmed that he will be in the ballot during the 2022 General Elections.
A trusted source close to muranganewspaper.co.ke revealed that Kigame has finally decided to run for the country’s top seat as an independent candidate after months of deliberation.
“Hi, this is Reuben Kigame. It is with deep humility that I share this personal text. Unbelievable as it may seem, even to you, I have decided to heed the call of several friends to vie as an independent presidential candidate in next year’s general election,” said Kigame.
Adding;
“Kenya is in a bad place and if we do not courageously challenge the rot we are in at the moment, we will have ourselves to blame and future generations will not forgive us for letting them down. Tough times require tough decisions and mine is such.”
Kigame said that he is the change that Kenya needs to redeem herself from bad leadership.
According to political analysts, Kigame’s announcement will serve as a blow to the bottom two candidates, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka saying that Kigame has a higher chance of being the second runners up or even the 5th president of Kenya.
