Family members, led by Margaret Waguama, revealed that the young man was discovered lying in a pool of blood. Despite immediate efforts, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Kerugoya Hospital.

The suspect, Patrick Gichobi, fled the scene following the stabbing, prompting the police to initiate a manhunt to apprehend him. This disturbing incident is not the first time Gichobi has displayed violent behavior, particularly when under the influence of alcohol, as noted by Peter Wanjohi.
