Terry, a 42-year-old woman from Kenya, has recently opened up about her partner Promise’s infidelity. In an interview with Nicholas Kioko, she shared the details of their relationship and the events that led to their separation.
According to Terry, Promise’s betrayal became the catalyst for their growing apart, despite the seemingly inseparable bond they had in 2023. The couple had initiated a business venture together, but Terry had to return to her rural home to care for her ailing father.
During her absence, Terry discovered that Promise was being pursued by an older woman claiming to be a well-known politician offering him financial incentives. Terry, having received invitations for a business meeting in Dubai from a Wi-Fi company, asked Promise to attend on her behalf. Despite not having a passport, she assisted him in obtaining one.
To her dismay, Terry later learned that Promise had traveled to Dubai with the older woman who had shown interest in him. Feeling hurt and betrayed, she expressed her disappointment, stating, “I had some invitations from a Wi-Fi company. So we talked and discussed, and we were to go together. So I helped him get a passport. I prepared him for the journey. He went for his own pleasure. Luckily someone I know represented me.”
Discovering Promise’s deception, Terry confessed, “He told me he was planning to travel somewhere for business purposes, but I later learned he was actually out of the country. I stumbled on the information. He was in Dubai. We were to travel together, but I had a sick dad. He never told me anything about the travel as he used to. I just found out when he was almost returning here. I tried reaching him out they would give me a funny signal.”
Terry, visibly emotional, revealed the depth of her trust in Promise and how difficult it had become to communicate with him. Despite still harboring love for him, she acknowledged that he had changed, breaking her heart with his infidelity. “I will not pursue him. I still believe in the power of our love. If he wants to walk away, it’s as easy as saying he wants to walk away,” she expressed.
In light of their shared business ventures, Terry expressed a desire to determine their respective positions and assets, stating, “There is a machine he told me was giving him a hard time. So we went and did the paperwork, then he disappeared. We were fine until that business or love offer came from the MP. He knows I know he has been cheating.”
Despite the heartbreak, Terry remains open to communication and resolution, emphasizing her willingness to move forward, stating, “I asked for us to do auditing. So he told me he was busy, yet things could not stall. You know we launched some two things together, so I wanted to know so that at least we could know who would be left with what because I consider myself single at this point.”
