“Wewe ni Celeb ,Jenga Nyumba Mzuri Bana” Kenyans Tell Inspector Mwala, After Showing his grass Village Home

Davis Hezron Mwabili, popularly known as Inspector Mwala, has become the target of online mockery from Kenyans. The renowned actor, who has enjoyed widespread influence for an extended period, particularly through the Inspector Mwala show, and also as a former presenter at Radio Citizen, has amassed a significant following on his social media platforms.

The controversy ensued when Inspector Mwala shared a photograph of himself outside a traditional grass-thatched house, expressing his enjoyment of life in the village. This move prompted Kenyans on Facebook to criticize the actor, urging him to construct a more substantial mansion in the village. Many argued that the surroundings seemed unsuitable for a celebrity of Mwala’s stature.

In Kenya, there is a common expectation that celebrities should reside in grand mansions, fueled by the assumption that they all possess substantial wealth. Following the online backlash, Inspector Mwala responded, saying, “Fb iko na maneno 😂, ooh ujajenga, si lazima niwaonyeshe kila kitu,” loosely translated as, “Facebook is full of talk 😂, oh, you haven’t built, I don’t have to show everything.”
