Joyce, a mother of four from Rwanda, has opened up about the challenges she has faced in life, especially after becoming physically disabled.
According to Joyce, she was not born with a disability. One day, she suddenly lost the ability to walk. Despite visiting several hospitals, doctors were unable to diagnose or treat her condition.
Her life took a difficult turn when she fell in love and later became pregnant. Unfortunately, the man disappeared after learning about the pregnancy. She raised her first child alone until the child was three years old. Later, she entered into another relationship and moved in with her partner, but he also left her after discovering she was expecting a child.
Joyce shared that this pattern repeated itself with two more men. In all, she now has four children from different fathers, all of whom left her while she was pregnant.
She says that some men have told her they believe being with her brings them good fortune, claiming that after being with her, they experienced success in life. While Joyce isn’t sure if these claims are true, she has urged those men to take responsibility for their children, who are now struggling due to her physical limitations.
Joyce is currently seeking support from well-wishers to help her buy a wheelchair. She hopes that being mobile will allow her to work and provide a better life for her children.
