The family, friends, and legal fraternity are preparing to bid farewell to Mathew Kyalo Mbobu, the Nairobi-based lawyer who was brutally murdered earlier this month. His death, marked by violence and mystery, has left a dark cloud hanging over the city’s legal community.
According to the family, a series of mourning sessions have been scheduled to allow loved ones to pay their last respects. Prayers and vigils will begin at All Saints Cathedral and later continue at his Karen residence, where relatives and colleagues are gathering daily.

He was reportedly shot multiple times while driving home, and the post-mortem revealed that he succumbed to excessive bleeding caused by the gunshot wounds. His family describes him as a dedicated husband and father, survived by his wife, Anne Mwende, and their three children.
