Popular musician Omosh One Hour has voiced strong support for President William Ruto, addressing claims that some leaders from the Kikuyu community are allegedly trying to mobilize others to block Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027. Speaking passionately, Omosh dismissed the alleged plans as misguided and counterproductive.
He stated, “Wakikuyu wanataka sisi Wajaluo tuwasaidie kutoa Ruto State House 2027. Hiyo ni ujinga! Venye mlimweka hata sisi hatutakubali atoke. William Ruto ni Two Terms.”
Through his remarks, Omosh emphasized that President Ruto’s supporters remain committed to his leadership and are prepared to resist any efforts to undermine his chances of securing a second term. He also criticized the idea of using ethnic affiliations as a tool for political maneuvering, arguing that such tactics divide communities and distract from national development priorities.
The musician’s comments have sparked debate across social media platforms. Supporters have praised his loyalty and clear stance, seeing it as a reaffirmation of Ruto’s growing political base among different communities. Meanwhile, critics have questioned the wisdom of framing politics through ethnic lenses, warning that such rhetoric can deepen divisions rather than foster inclusive governance.
Omosh’s statement comes amid growing political speculation ahead of the 2027 general elections, as various groups and leaders begin to articulate their strategies and alliances. His public declaration underscores the role that influential public figures, including artists and entertainers, continue to play in shaping political discourse and mobilizing support in Kenya.
By speaking out, Omosh One Hour has not only reinforced his political position but also contributed to the wider conversation about leadership, loyalty, and the intersection of ethnicity and politics in the country’s upcoming electoral contests.
