Speaking in response, Uhuru defended the party’s legacy and reminded critics that Jubilee remains a strong political outfit despite ongoing divisions. He further extended an olive branch to those who had left, saying they are welcome to return.
“Anybody who wants to come back, I will welcome you like a father does to his lost child,” Uhuru said, stressing unity and reconciliation within the party ranks.
His remarks come amid growing tension between Jubilee loyalists and defectors who have aligned themselves with the ruling UDA party. Political observers note that Uhuru’s conciliatory tone signals an attempt to re-energize Jubilee while positioning it as a home for members who feel sidelined elsewhere.
