On Friday morning, a concerning incident unfolded along the Londiani-Muhoroni Road in Kericho County, as a fuel tanker carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) overturned at Lesirwo area. The tanker, identified as a Mercedes Benz bearing registration number KCP 588R/ZH2580, veered off the road reportedly due to the driver, Michael Mwangi, losing control of the vehicle.
Thankfully, despite the severity of the situation, there were no casualties or injuries reported. Swift action was taken by the authorities as soon as the incident was reported.
The police promptly alerted the Kericho Fire Brigade to mitigate the potential hazards posed by the gas leak resulting from the tanker overturning. This timely response helped contain the situation and prevent any further escalation of the danger.
