As Kenya braces for the much-anticipated June 25th protests, Kasmuel McOure has addressed Generation Z, urging them to uphold peace, clarity of purpose, and national unity as they prepare to take to the streets.
McOure, known for his bold commentary on political and social issues, acknowledged the significance of the Gen Z-led movement, emphasizing that the youth hold the future of the nation in their hands. In his message, he encouraged young people to remain peaceful, informed, and resilient in their demand for justice and accountability.
“This is not just another protest. It is a call for truth, integrity, and a better tomorrow. Let your voices be loud, but let them also be lawful. Let your message be firm, but also respectful of our national values,” McOure said in a video message shared widely on social media.
He further warned against infiltration by individuals with hidden agendas, urging protestors to remain alert and focused on their cause. “Do not allow your passion to be used as a weapon against yourselves. Be wise. Be watchful. Be united,” he said.
McOure also called on the government and security agencies to respect the constitutional right to peaceful assembly. He stressed that the youth deserve to be heard, not harassed.
The June 25 protests, organized to mark the anniversary of lives lost during the 2024 demonstrations, are expected to draw thousands of Gen Z participants across the country. With emotions running high, McOure’s message serves as both a rallying cry and a cautionary guide for those eager to shape the nation’s future.
