Popular TikToker and influencer Sheryl Gabriella has broken her silence amidst swirling rumours linking her to the recent breakup between comedian David Oyando, better known as Mulamwah, and his fiancée and baby mama, Ruth K.
In a video shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, April 14, Sheryl firmly denied any involvement with Mulamwah or playing a role in the couple’s split.
“Seeing people hurl insults at me for allegedly stealing Mulamwah, while in reality, my man is a 30+ year old tycoon who stays off social media and only has 1,000 followers,” she wrote.
Sheryl and Mulamwah have recently been seen together on multiple occasions, collaborating on content and making public appearances, which may have fueled the speculation.
Her statement comes just days after Mulamwah confirmed his breakup with Ruth K via a post on his social media platforms.
“Yes, it’s true—we have decided to part ways with R.K. It was nice while it lasted,” Mulamwah announced on April 10, 2025, after fans noticed the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The announcement shocked many, especially since the couple had only recently celebrated their engagement. On February 17, Ruth K shared a romantic video showing off her sparkling engagement ring, surrounded by rose petals, captioned: “I said yes.”
Mulamwah also expressed his excitement at the time, posting a close-up of the ring with the caption: “Cute fingers like hers deserve rings,” accompanied by heart and kiss emojis.
A Love Story Born in Kitale
Mulamwah and Ruth K’s relationship had a humble beginning. The two met in Kitale, where Ruth worked at a local hardware store and Mulamwah had gone shopping for supplies. Initially, the pair kept their relationship under wraps, publicly referring to each other as “besties.”
In October 2023, Mulamwah visited Ruth’s family in what many believed was a traditional wedding ceremony. However, the couple continued to use the term “bestie” to describe their bond.
The two welcomed their son, Oyando Jr., in February 2024, marking a new chapter in their relationship.
Mulamwah’s History of Public Breakups
This isn’t Mulamwah’s first highly publicized breakup. In 2021, he parted ways with fellow content creator Carol Sonnie (real name Caroline Muthoni). The two shared a daughter, Keilah Oyando, born in September 2021.
Mulamwah later revealed that their relationship had ended while Carol was just three months pregnant, though he chose to remain silent until after the birth.
Their separation was anything but amicable, marked by public spats, child support disputes, and social media drama that kept fans glued to the unfolding saga.
