On Wednesday 20th, August 2025, one of the lowest moments was witnessed on social media platforms after a photo of a boy who was looking at the lifeless body of his friend, late Moses Mokua, who died at the neighbour’s home in Kisii was shared.
The boy was seen peeping through the coffin and was seemingly saddened by the fact that his beloved friend was no more following the untimely and mysterious death.
How Moses Mokua died.
On the fateful day that Moses Mokua mysteriously died, he was at her grandmother’s home and was under the care of his aunt, Joyce.
Feeling lonely and isolated, he (Mokua) was heard crying for a long time before one of the “concerned” neighbour popped in and requested Joyce to allow Mokua to go and play outside with her kids.
Moments later, the same neighbour then told Joyce to accompany her eldest daughter to the river to wash clothes affirming that Mokua was safe since he was playing with her kids and she (the neighbour) was around looking after them.
However, When Mokua’s grandmother returned back home she was overly concerned to find her grandson missing, prompting her to make urgent calls in bid to establish Mokua’s whereabouts.
Upon receiving the urgent calls Mokua’s uncles and aunties who were quick to respond initiated a search only to find him in a drum at the neighbour’s compound. At that time Mokua’s body was cold and lifeless.
It is alleged that the neighbor could have killed Mokua before dumping his body into the drum.
