Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga is set to release his first ever music video today.
The song is expected to champion and be used in his campaigns ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The hit song is a rendition of a Luhya song dubbed as Lelo ni Lelo which was composed by Emmanuel Masindi.
Raila’s song is recorded by FP Records in Kawangware by an upcoming producer Festus Papai aka Papa FP and was shot in Karen and Kawangware, Nairobi and directed by Nezzooh Montana.
Speaking to The Standard, Maji Maji, the man behind Raila’s move to record the song, said that the song will not only boost Raila’s presidential campaigns but also help him generate some income.
This is not just a campaign song.
“The other gain we expect from this is to have a leader of that calibre exposed to the issues that affect musicians,” Maji Maji told a local publication.
