Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the broad-based government arrangement, stating that the decision to collaborate was deliberate and remains firm.
According to Oburu, opposition leader Raila Odinga guided the move to enter into a working framework with the administration, emphasizing that it was made in what they believe to be the national interest. He noted that the party will not retreat from that position.
The senator further revealed that a strong committee from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will soon engage President William Ruto’s team to negotiate structured cooperation. The talks, he said, are aimed at ensuring the collaboration benefits all Kenyans rather than serving narrow political interests.
