Sandra Mbuvi, the daughter of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, has left many Kenyans talking after revealing she doesn’t plan to date any Kenyan man.
Speaking live on TikTok, Sandra said, “Kenyan men are just not my type. Like ew.” Her comments sparked a storm online, with some people offended while others defended her right to choose.
Men rushed to criticize her, pointing out that even her father is Kenyan. One user wrote, “Your dad is Kenyan too.” Others claimed Kenyan men wouldn’t want her either. But many women backed Sandra. One fan said, “She knows what she wants, leave her alone!”
This is not the first time Sandra has made bold claims. In the past, she said any man who wants to marry her must pay a dowry that includes five lions, three helicopters, and 22 Bentleys! Many were shocked, saying she was too demanding.
Sandra, who is currently studying in the UK, has also posted photos with a Nigerian man. Though she didn’t confirm a relationship, fans started guessing she might already be off the Kenyan dating scene.
When asked if she’s introduced any boyfriend to her father, she said no. Sandra added that she wants a serious man who can afford her lifestyle. And if he breaks her heart? She joked her emotional father might not handle it well.
