President Ruto named Africa’s Most influential leader on Twitter

The most influential African leader on Twitter is President William Ruto, according to a recent ranking.

Ruto also ranked 13th out of the 50 most important world leaders, according to a research released on Wednesday by a global communications firm called BCW Twiplomacy.

He moved up nine ranks this year, to number 22, on the list of the world’s leaders in 2021.

In the newly released list of world leaders, Ruto came in third.

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, came in second and was ranked number 18 on the list of world leaders.

Yoweri Museveni, the president of Uganda, was the third African leader and ranked 29th overall.

The data used in BCW’s report was collected between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022.

Former president Uhuru Kenyatta is not included in the data because he departed office before the end of the term period.

The agency deployed a custom algorithm to rank, which looked at the trends influencing Twitter’s digital diplomacy in 2022.
According to BCW, the algorithm gave each variable, such as mentions, tweets, retweets, reach, impressions, follower changes, likes, and follower numbers, a specific weighting.
