Media personality Willis Raburu recently opened up about his salary at Citizen TV during an interview on the Mic Check podcast. Raburu reflected on his journey, noting how fortunate he felt to secure a job at Citizen TV right after graduating from university.
In 2010, Raburu began his career as an intern at Royal Media, earning Ksh. 30,000 per month. At the time, his salary was modest due to his limited experience. However, as he gained expertise, Raburu’s career flourished, and he became one of the station’s most popular journalists. His success was further highlighted by the launch of the show “10 Over 10,” which contributed to a significant increase in his salary.
By the time he left Citizen TV after 13 years, Raburu’s monthly earnings had risen to approximately Ksh. 400,000. His departure from the station marked a new chapter, opening many doors for further opportunities.
