During his two-day state visit to Rwanda, President William Ruto commended Kenyans living abroad for their significant role in national development. Speaking to Kenyans residing in Kigali on Wednesday, President Ruto urged them to represent Kenya well and act as good ambassadors for their motherland. He emphasized that the government highly values its citizens living abroad and recognizes their strong connection to their home country.

President Ruto further highlighted the warm and cordial relationship between Kenya and Rwanda, particularly in fields such as education, ICT, and agriculture. He shared that he had discussed with President Paul Kagame, who had praised Kenyans living in Rwanda for their contributions to the country.

President Ruto encouraged Kenyans living abroad to remember that their efforts do not only benefit their families, but also contribute to the progress of Kenya as a whole. He expressed his confidence that Kenya will continue to thrive as a great country.

Furthermore, President Ruto’s visit to Rwanda is a part of a wider effort to promote cooperation between African countries and facilitate the free movement of people, goods, and services across borders.
