On Thursday morning, Gidi Ogidi, the host of Radio Jambo’s Gidi na Ghost Radio Show, found himself in an unexpected position when a fan suggested that he could play a role in reconciling President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance leader, Raila Odinga.
During the previous Patanisho show, Hudson Mwambili from Westlands expressed confidence in Gidi’s abilities to bring these two political heavyweights to a mutual understanding. He praised Gidi’s skills and believed that he possessed the gift to facilitate a concession between them.
However, Gidi, who has earned a reputation for reuniting romantic partners for over a decade, politely declined the idea of involving himself with politicians. He acknowledged that politicians could be challenging to deal with due to their stubborn nature and their tendencies to be self-serving.
“I appreciate the compliment, but I prefer focusing on reuniting regular Kenyans. Handling politicians is not within my area of expertise, as they can be quite proud and difficult,” Gidi explained.
Throughout the years, Gidi and his co-host, Jacob Ghost Mulee, have been dedicated to assisting Kenyans with relationship issues and helping them rebuild their unions. The program, running from Monday to Friday, has successfully provided a platform for couples to resolve their differences.
It’s worth mentioning that the suggestion to reunite Raila and Ruto arose amidst the backdrop of the ongoing Azimio-led anti-government protests, which address concerns over the high cost of living in the country. Despite the fan’s hopeful proposal, Gidi chose to remain committed to his passion for reuniting regular individuals, leaving the political sphere to those with a different expertise.
