The ODM Party has decided to quit the National Super Alliance (NASA).
The party announced its decision on Thursday, July 29, saying that it will write to the Registrar of Political Parties to shed light on their exit from the movement.
Confirming the reports, ODM Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna said that NASA is a thing of the past.
“We still hold that Nasa is the past. To further demonstrate this point, the NEC of ODM has today resolved to formally exit the Nasa coalition,” Sifuna said.
“We intend to embark on a programme to build new partnerships and extend the ongoing talks with our potential partners to the grassroots,” he stated.
Sifuna was speaking at a press briefer in company of ODM Chairman John Mbadi, MPs Opiyo Wandayi and Dennita Ghati after a NEC Members meeting chaired by Raila Odinga.
