It’s been more than a decade since Vera Sidika became a household name in Kenya. She was a great actress, but nothing is known about her early life.
Vera was born on September 30, 1989, to parents who were originally from Western Kenya at the Agha Khan Hospital in Mombasa.
Because of her parents’ work and living in Mombasa, she spent the majority of her childhood there.
Before moving away to college, Vera finished her elementary and secondary education in the seaside community where she was born and raised.
At the tender age of seventeen, Vera entered a number of beauty pageants and fashion shows in her own country, where she quickly rose to prominence.
She also landed roles in which she could hone her acting skills.
Vera moved from Mombasa to Nairobi in 2009 so that she could attend Kenyatta University (KU) and earn a degree in art and design.
While still a student at KU, she made a splashy entry into the public eye as a video vixen.
In 2012, she had her breakthrough when she starred in P-single Unit’s “You Guy” and became a national sensation.
Because of her role in Prezzo’s 2014 single “My Gal” as a member of the P Unit, Vera is now widely considered to be Kenya’s most desirable video vixen.
In 2014, Vera had accumulated millions, which she used to maintain her lavish lifestyle. The following year, she decided to change her appearance with cosmetic surgery.
The socialite claimed that the lavish Ksh15 million procedure to bleach her entire body from head to toe was quite costly.
The socialite admitted bleaching her entire body during an interview with a local TV station on June 6, 2014, since “looking nice was what made her money.”
