Nightrunner Threatens to Sue CS Magoha if not Allowed to Sit KCSE at Night

Popular Kenyan nightrunner Jack Songo(born Moses Okinyi) has requested to sit his KCSE(Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) tests at night.

Songo, who made headlines in 2015 after saying to have established a national lobby to defend the interests of night runners in kenya, has taken steps to sue the government on the off chance that his interest isn’t met.

“I demand to sit exams at night. An expert night runner does not see well during the day. He sees clearly at night,” he said.

The Homa Bay resident sat his KCSE in 2019 and got a C-however asserts he would have performed better had he been permitted to sit the papers at night “I am a nocturnal person.”

Songo says he has enrolled to sit for his KCSE again next month . He claims he more creative and productive at night.

“If (Education Minister)Magoha and (exams governing body)KNEC do not allow me to sit the papers at night, we will meet in court. I must go to court to sue Knec, especially Magoha,” the night runner declared.

Addressing journalists in Ndhiwa Sub-county last week, Songo additionally blamed Magoha for failing to ensure he attends physical education classes under the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to improve his acrobatic skills

He further condemned the Department of Social Services for neglecting to enlist his Nightrunners Association. He contended under the 2010 Constitution, the public authority is under commitment to perceive everybody’s interesting commitment to country building.

Among his requests is that the Nightrunners Association be permitted to register as a society and be given unhindered access to the National Youth Fund alongside other public funds in the form of loans or grants.
