Night Drama as Rift Valley Leaders Step Down and Endorse Boinet Hours After Resignation

Hours after Joseph Boinet resigned as the Tourism CAS, the renowned ex – Inspector general has begun leaving a mark in the political arena.

As per news last night, Rift valley leaders met at Kenmosa Resort where a Declaration was made.

It has emerged that, Elders from Keiyo Community have supported Former IG Joseph Boinett as their favored candidate for Elgeyo Marakwet County gubernatorial seat.

Additionally, Jackson Kiptanui, Hon Chepkitony, Elizabeth Keitany and Moses Changwony have all stepped down for Boinett. DG Wesley who’s viewed as the next governor didn’t attend the meeting.

More cabinet secretaries and government officials are relied upon to resign as the deadline to step down draws nearer every day.

Numerous in top government positions are eying political positions.

So must drama is expected in weeks to come as political alliances form with politicians also jumping from one party to the other in search for a suitable vehicle to ferry them through the August elections.
