Former Attorney General JB Muturi has stirred conversation after openly admitting that he felt relieved when President William Ruto relieved him of his duties.
Speaking candidly during a recent interview, Muturi said that although many assumed he was disappointed by his dismissal, he personally viewed it as a blessing in disguise.
“Ni vizuri Ruto alinifuta. Hata nilikua nmechoka na iyo kazi,” Muturi said, suggesting that the role had become exhausting and unfulfilling.
His statement has attracted mixed reactions among Kenyans online. Some praised him for his honesty and calm acceptance of political transitions, while others questioned whether his remarks hinted at deeper frustrations within government circles.
Muturi, who previously served as National Assembly Speaker before joining Ruto’s administration, had been appointed to a key advisory role. His exit adds to the growing list of senior officials who have recently left or been reshuffled in the Kenya Kwanza government.
