A Nairobi Airbnb operator is speaking out after an American YouTuber and travel vlogger, Julian Albino, allegedly redecorated her furnished apartment with his feces. The operator expressed her distress during a conversation with a friend, who then took to social media to expose the situation.
According to the Airbnb operator, Albino left without notice and had not paid his bill of $600/Ksh73,380. Additionally, he had allegedly broken a glass table and soiled 16 bedsheets, 2 pillowcases, 4 towels, and 1 duvet cover with his feces. The distraught operator shared photos of the stained linens.
In a WhatsApp conversation between the operator and Albino, he admitted to soiling the beddings but refused to have them washed, insisting that it was the operator’s job to clean them. After being exposed on social media, Albino denied any wrongdoing on Instagram, stating that he was being harassed online.
Overall, the Airbnb operator is seeking compensation for the damages caused by Albino and hopes that this incident will serve as a warning to other hosts about problematic guests.
