Police in Murang’a County have launched a manhunt of a lady who is said to have stabbed her 2-years-old child to death with a kitchen knife.
The 21-year-old lady from kianderi village, Kiharu-Murang’a County went into hiding after committing the crime early today morning, January 10,2022.
The lady is said to have stabbed her two sons with a kitchen knife where one of the kids aged 2-years-old died on the spot with the other one aged 4, left under critical condition.
Kianderi residents have highly condemned the act saying that no sane mother should commit such a henious act iregardless of the problems or issues they are facing.
“We were shocked to here this sad new. The lady had no sighs of depression. I call on Kenyans to speak up when faced with challenges instead of killing,” area Nyumba Kumi elder, Samuel Mwangi said.
The body of the deceased child has since been transferred to the Murang’a Level 5 hospital mortuary.
