‎Morning Shock As Moi University Student Dies After Long bedroom session With Kisii Boyfriend

‎Residents of Nyamira County were left in shock on Monday morning after a Moi University student was discovered dead in a local lodging where she had spent the night with her boyfriend.

‎According to police reports, the 22-year-old woman, a third-year student at Moi University, had travelled from Eldoret to visit her boyfriend in Nyamira town over the weekend. The boyfriend, said to be from Kisii County, allegedly booked a room for the two at a nearby lodging.

‎Witnesses told police that the couple checked in on Sunday evening and were later seen having dinner and drinks before retiring to their room. However, the next morning, chaos erupted when the man rushed to the reception, shouting for help and claiming his girlfriend had collapsed and was unresponsive.

‎Hotel attendants and guests hurried to the room and found the young woman lying motionless on the bed, partially dressed. They quickly alerted the authorities.

‎Confirming the incident, Nyamira County Police Commander said officers visited the scene and moved the body to Nyamira County Referral Hospital mortuary. “Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death. The boyfriend has been detained to assist with the probe,” the commander stated.
‎Preliminary findings suggest the student may have died from exhaustion or a possible medical complication, though police say foul play has not been ruled out. Drugs and alcoholic beverages were reportedly recovered from the room.
‎Friends and classmates of the deceased have been left heartbroken, describing her as a bright, cheerful young woman. “She was full of life and loved by many. It’s so painful to lose her this way,” one classmate told reporters.

‎The incident has ignited debate on social media, with many Kenyans urging university students to exercise caution and responsibility in their relationships.
‎The body remains at Nyamira County Referral Hospital pending a post-mortem as investigations continue into the mysterious death.
