Anne Waiguru has now served in the leadership of Kenya for almost ten years. She first came to limelight when she was nominated as the cabinet secretary of Devolution. However her stint on the ministry was short-lived as she was linked with the famous NYS scandal.
Waiguru would vie for the Kirinyaga Governor seat and emerge victorious against political heavyweight Martha Karua. She is now serving her second term.

Anne Waiguru first met her ex husband, Mr Tony Waiguru in the 90’s at the Nairobi Lighthouse church. After several years of dating, the two got married.
Tony, a son of a MP from Murang’a (at the time) lived happily in their marriage for several years.
However all was not well when Anne started to question Tony Waiguru’s brother who was a pastor at the Nairobi Lighthouse Church.
After raising concerns to her husband, they disagreed and this forced Anne to switch church and started attending Karura community church.
Rift in Waiguru’s first marriage
As years went by, Anne and Tony’s marriage started to have some rifts as the former rose through the ranks at her work place.
Immediately Anne started working at the world bank, their marriage had entirely broken. This later led to a divorce as both parties agreed to part ways.
