Meet the owner of Famous Club034 in Kitengela built inside a plane

In the vibrant entertainment landscape of Kitengela, Club 034 has soared to new heights, captivating party enthusiasts with its unconventional setting inside a grounded Boeing 720 airplane.

Meet the visionary behind this audacious venture, Emmanuel Ngetich, a forward-thinking businessman who transformed a retired aircraft into one of Kenya’s most distinctive nightlife destinations.

Ngetich’s entrepreneurial journey took flight in early 2020 when he acquired a decommissioned Boeing 720 from Kenya Airways (KQ).

The aircraft, with over 56 years of history, had long rested at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), waiting for a new lease on life.

In a bold move, Ngetich decided to repurpose the plane into an unprecedented entertainment spot, setting the stage for a one-of-a-kind club experience.

Transported with a convoy of police outriders to its final destination in Kitengela, the plane became the focal point of Club 034’s allure.

Ngetich, reflecting on his inspiration, shared that a trip to Bangkok had sparked the idea during a visit to an entertainment and shopping hub built around a grounded Lockheed TriStar.

“Kenya Airways presented the bid, and I took a chance, hoping to turn what might seem like a crazy idea into reality.

My decision to create the club was influenced by my tour to Bangkok a few years ago.

I was captivated by this entertainment hub designed around a grounded Lockheed TriStar at Chang Chui,” he recounted in an interview with Kalenjin Culture.

Drawing parallels with a similar venture in Bangkok, Ngetich emphasized the transformative potential of repurposing retired aircraft for entertainment purposes.

He cited the example of a grounded Lockheed TriStar, named Na-Oh, in Bangkok, now a daily “grounded flight” whisking patrons away on culinary adventures.

The decision to bid for the Kenya Airways plane, according to Ngetich, was fueled by the desire to recreate the awe-inspiring entertainment scenes he had encountered abroad.

Inspired by memories of Bangkok’s vibrant cultural hotspot, he envisioned changing the entertainment landscape in Kenya by introducing a novel and visually stunning venue.

Club 034, nestled within the confines of the Boeing 720, has quickly become a symbol of innovation and creativity in Kitengela’s nightlife.

The fusion of aviation history and contemporary entertainment has turned this venue into a must-visit destination, attracting patrons eager to experience a night out like never before.

As Club 034 continues to capture the imagination of partygoers, Emmanuel Ngetich’s bold venture stands as a testament to the limitless possibilities of reimagining unconventional spaces for entertainment, making Kitengela a hotspot for those seeking a truly unique nightlife experience.
