Former Senator of Bungoma and Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, is a well-known politician known for his vocal nature. However, little is known about his private family life as he has tried to keep it out of the media.
Moses Wetangula is a family man with three wives. His first wife, Phyllis Wetangula, is said to not live with him for various reasons. His second wife, a Bukusu lady, was married to him in 2011, and they had a child together. However, it is reported that he neglected her, forcing her to seek court orders for financial support for both her and their children.
The third wife, Anne Wacheke Ngugi, was accused in 2016 of physically assaulting Wetangula on allegations of infidelity. It was reported that the senator stopped the police from arresting her to avoid embarrassment.
Wetangula claimed that his wife attacked and injured him on the night of February 18, 2016, at their home in Karen. He was treated at Karen Hospital and issued a P3 form.
The politician is a father to many children, including Fidel Wetangula, daughter Sheila Wetangula, and Tamara Wetangula, as well as the two children with his customary wife.
