Retired president Uhuru Kenyatta’s daughter, Ngina Kenyatta, got married in June 2022 to his lover Alex Mwai.
Who is Alex Mwai?
Alex is the son of Sam Mwai, an accomplished figure in the sports and hospitality sectors, who has held positions including Chairman of the Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB), General Manager of Karen Country Club and, most recently, CEO of Maiyan Luxury Resort in Nanyuki, part of Centum Investment’s larger Maiyan development.
Alex is an Investment Director at Hesabu Capital Kenya.Prior to Hesabu, Alex worked with PowerGen Renewable Energy in the commercial development department.
Alex also cut his teethe at PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Deals Advisory where he worked on valuation, due diligence, and M&A services.
He co-founded Perkera Advisory, a business development and transaction advisory for East African startups. Alex holds a BA from Durham
