NRG Radio has announced the comeback of media personalities Kamene Goro and Shaffie Weru, who will be hosting a show called ‘NRG Transit’ alongside DJ Pierra Makena. Kamene shared a poster on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, revealing the news and asking her fans if they were ready for it. The show will air from 3:00pm to 7:00pm every Friday. According to credible sources, this week’s show will serve as a trial before the NRG management decides whether to keep the trio permanently.
Kamene Goro is returning to NRG Radio after leaving to host The Morning Kiss with Andrew Kibe at Radio Africa Group. Meanwhile, Shaffie Weru recently joined NRG Radio, just weeks after taking on a new job as the head of events and branding at Nairobi County.
Kamene clarified that she was not fired from Kiss FM, but rather, her contract lapsed, and she was sick for a period last year, which affected her attendance. She was replaced by Sheila Kwamboka, aka Kwambox. NRG had previously confirmed Kamene’s departure from the NRG Breakfast Club in 2019 when she left to join Kiss FM.
