MCA Tricky shows his Master’s Degree in Mechatronics results

Comedian MCA Tricky, known by his real name Francis Munyao, recently revealed the results of his Master’s Degree in Mechatronics. Via an Instagram story, he shared a video showcasing his academic achievements from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

The comedian successfully completed four units, securing a B in Manufacturing Systems, an A in both Advanced Sensors and Actuators, and Research Methodology, and a C in Applied Mathematics. His results slip authenticated his passing grades.

In the same video, MCA Tricky announced, “Mwalimu wa Math, I am now comfortably proceeding with my thesis development,” providing his followers with a glimpse of his progress on the computer screen.

The disclosure of MCA Tricky’s Master’s Degree results follows his earlier announcement in January 2022 regarding his decision to pursue a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering at JKUAT. During this announcement, he underscored the transformative impact of education on enhancing living standards in Kenya.

“JKUAT Master’s Degree loading. In 2022, we hit the ground running. Let’s now MECHATRONICISE kidogo!! People should go to school and improve the living standards of this country, we are tired,” he declared.

Having graduated from Kenyatta University (KU) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019, MCA Tricky emphasized in a November 2021 Jalango TV interview that engineering is his true passion, considering comedy as a temporary source of income.

Reflecting on his academic journey, MCA Tricky shared the initial challenge of balancing comedy and academics during his days on the Churchill Show. This struggle resulted in a decline in his grades from 73 points to 59 points.

He attributed this decline to the challenges of fame and the delicate balance between the school of arts and the school of engineering, stating, “Kiburi, jina, brand…Daro mpaka watu wa school of arts wanakuja school of engineering kukaa class, ma-lecturer wananiita kushika microphone…siconcetrate…ilikuwa noma but nikang’ang’ana.”

Despite facing these hurdles, MCA Tricky persisted and completed with a second class upper, emphasizing the significance of his achievement in the demanding field.

MCA Tricky also discussed the importance of Mechatronics in the future of industrialization, noting, “Mechatronics is the future of industrialization, where you combine conventional manufacturing used in Kenya with advancements using robots to cut costs.”
