Manzi Wa Kibera Admits She Is Flat Broke, Can’t Afford To Pay Ksh2,500 Rent

Shariffa Sharon Wambui, widely recognized as Manzi Wa Kibera, has become a subject of ridicule on social media after candidly discussing her financial difficulties.

Manzi Wa Kibera is currently facing severe financial hardship, to the extent that she cannot even manage to cover the Ksh2,500 rent for her humble mud house.

This well-known voluptuous socialite initially hinted at her financial struggles during her birthday celebration in December 2021, where she appealed to her followers to treat her to a meal.

“On this day, Shariffa Sharon Wambui was born. Today is my birthday, and I can’t believe how the years have flown by. Davido asked for 1 million from his friends and fans, so I also want a present from my friends and fans. Since I’m a ghetto girl, I just want a 50-bob chapo dondo, but if you want to send more, that’s fine too. Mpesa +254 0705331180, and I’ll save all the numbers that send me presents. You can also WhatsApp or call me after sending,” Manzi Wa Kibera wrote on her social media.

Manzi Wa Kibera eventually opened up about her financial struggles during an interview with Nicholas Kioko. In the interview, the socialite confessed that she was completely broke and couldn’t even afford the Ksh2,500 rent for her mud house in the Ayany area of Kibera.

“I am not ashamed. At first, I didn’t even want people to know where I live. I lacked confidence. When I first showed people my house, I didn’t expect them to contribute money for me. Now I’m used to it; anyone can visit me,” said Manzi Wa Kibera tearfully.

She further expressed, “If someone can assist me, that’s okay. But I don’t want to burden myself with rent for a one-bedroom house. Sometimes I can’t even afford the Ksh2,500; how will I manage a Ksh5,000 house? People were criticizing me online, claiming I was pretending while living in poverty. I would love to leave this house.”

Manzi Wa Kibera relies on the financial support from generous fans, particularly when she publicly announces her financial difficulties and lack of food.

Despite her challenging living conditions, Manzi Wa Kibera manages to maintain her fashionable appearance, often adorning herself with either expensive wigs or affordable ones made right in her neighborhood.
