Man, 84 years, who returned home after 47 years disappointed that his 2 wives remarried Again

An 84-year-old man, Peter Oyuka, who vanished from his home in Makale village, Kenya, in 1974, recently returned to express his disappointment upon discovering that his two wives had remarried during his 47-year absence.

Oyuka, who left at the age of 37, questioned why his wives couldn’t wait for just 47 years. He lamented the missed opportunity to reunite with them, stating, “I wish my wives were here today to welcome me home.”

In an interview with local media, Peter urged his estranged wives to find time for him, expressing both good wishes for their current marriages and a desire for them to acknowledge his continued existence. He shared, “I wish my two wives well in their marriages. However, I’d like them to know that I’m still alive and that they should create time and visit me.”

Despite spending a significant portion of the 47 years in Tanzania, where he formed a new relationship and had a child, Oyuka expressed disappointment that his original wives did not remain faithful. He acknowledged their decision, stating, “I’m very disappointed that they could not wait for me. But I respect their decision.”

The news prompted various reactions from Kenyans, with opinions divided on whether the wives’ actions were justified. Some argued that the wives were too impatient, while others remarked on the unpredictable nature of life. The story stirred a mix of sympathy and criticism, highlighting the complexities of relationships and the passage of time.
