Kenyan social commentator Malcom has raised alarm over a man referred to as the Russian Egonga, claiming that he poses serious health risks to women in Kenya. According to Malcom, the man is allegedly HIV-positive and has previously been apprehended in Japan after his sister reported him for spreading the virus.
Malcom cautioned that if the allegations are true, women interacting with this individual risk contracting HIV, which could also spread to their partners in Kenya. He urged caution, especially among young women engaging with foreign men online or in social settings, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing personal safety and sexual health.
While the claims are alarming, health experts advise verifying such reports through official channels and practicing safe measures, such as avoiding unprotected sexual encounters, seeking testing, and being vigilant in online relationships. The situation underscores broader concerns about the safety of women in digital and international dating contexts, and the need for awareness campaigns on sexual health and consent.
