“Maisha ya mtoto wangu iko hatarini”: Trio Mio’s mother cries for help as son faces death threats

Irma Sakwa, the mother and manager of Trio Mio, a popular Kenyan musician, has voiced her deep concerns regarding her son’s safety. This comes in light of the disturbing death threats he has received through various social media platforms.

On Wednesday, June 7, Irma took to her own social media account to share a screenshot of a vile tweet directed at Trio Mio. The appalling message had initially been posted on Wednesday, May 31.

In the message, two unidentified individuals brazenly threatened the talented artist, accusing him of stealing their money and vowing to harm him. The language used was horrifying: “Trio Mio, why did you steal our money? We will finish you. We are fearless.”

Expressing her outrage and worry, Irma Sakwa strongly condemned the actions of these individuals, viewing their behavior as a dangerous joke that had crossed all boundaries.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, she urgently appealed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to launch a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure her son’s safety.

“This is no laughing matter. Not long ago, my son experienced a traumatic incident when he was mugged at gunpoint. We are still recovering from that ordeal, and now this? DCI, have you seen this? As a parent, I earnestly request action to be taken against these individuals! My heart is filled with anxiety. May God protect my child,” she wrote.

The increasing trend of online threats and harassment has raised serious concerns within the entertainment industry and among fans. Many have shown their support for Trio Mio and his family, urging the authorities to swiftly address the issue and bring the perpetrators to justice.

As the investigation unfolds, fans and industry professionals anxiously await the response of the DCI, hoping that prompt action will be taken to safeguard Trio Mio and discourage such malicious activities in the future.
