Madam Boss Akothee Announces Plans For 3rd Wedding “Hiyo ingine ilikuwa Kionjo”

Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, widely recognized as Akothee, made a guest appearance on Radio Jambo’s “Gidi na Ghost” morning show today. The 43-year-old artist touched on a variety of subjects, including her personal life, business ventures, and her role as Uganda’s tourism ambassador.

During the interview, Akothee shared exciting plans for an upcoming grand wedding, where she will officially tie the knot with her current partner, Nelson Oyugi, popularly known as Nelly Oaks.

Reflecting on her previous wedding with her ex-husband Denis Schweizer, Akothee explained, “That wedding (with Omosh) was small; it was just practice. The real wedding is coming soon, and it’s going to be much bigger.”

Despite her past relationship challenges, the mother of five expressed optimism about love, saying, “Why would I lose hope in love? I need to be loved. I’m going to have another wedding, and this one will be international. The man is well-known.”

However, Akothee remained tight-lipped about specific details of the wedding, citing concerns over negative influences. “There are many witches around… This time, we won’t announce the date. It will be by invitation only, and guests will be invited based on their value,” she stated.

Akothee and Nelly Oaks have been openly celebrating their rekindled relationship since late last year, following her breakup with Schweizer. Their romance became public during a live TikTok session, where Akothee affectionately called Nelly “babe,” a clear indication of their romantic involvement. Nelly Oaks reciprocated by referring to Akothee as someone special.

In response to fan inquiries about Nelly’s relationship status, Akothee confirmed her place in his life, humorously retorting, “You’re asking if Nelly has someone? Am I a rock? A tree? It’s my life, and I’ll run it how I want.”

Nelly Oaks also made it clear that he was committed, stating that he wasn’t available for any other woman.

Akothee has previously been married twice—first to Jared Okello and later to Denis Schweizer, also known as Mister Omosh.
