From the impoverished neighborhoods of Kibera to the affluent Kilimani area, socialite Manzi wa Kibera proudly showcases her new residence, just one day after publicly announcing her split from her 66-year-old boyfriend due to issues of infidelity.
In an interview with an online media outlet, Manzi wa Kibera revealed that when she began dating the older man, she expressed her desire for an improved lifestyle and hoped he would provide her with a better home.
Previously residing in a humble mud-thatched house in the slums of Kibera, Manzi wa Kibera faced financial difficulties despite her celebrity status. Thus, her relationship with the 66-year-old man served as a means to upgrade her living conditions.
As a gesture of support, the older man decided to rent a studio apartment for Manzi wa Kibera in the Kilimani area of Nairobi, along Ngong Road. This rented accommodation, an Airbnb unit, is situated in a secure location. However, the monthly rent for this new place is three times higher than what she used to pay for her modest dwelling in Kibera.
Currently, she pays a monthly rent of Ksh. 15,000, with the 66-year-old man shouldering the expenses. In Kibera, her previous residence, the monthly rent amounted to Ksh. 3,000.
Manzi wa Kibera mentioned that she has made efforts to furnish her new home with essential items such as a table and a stand. Additionally, she is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a smart TV, for which she is making installment payments.
Furthermore, she intends to capitalize on her new living situation. In addition to utilizing the bedsitter as her personal residence, Manzi wa Kibera plans to rent it out to clients. The nightly rental fee is set at Ksh. 3,000.
While acknowledging that the older man has significantly influenced her lifestyle, Manzi wa Kibera expressed her willingness to communicate and resolve their issues in order to reunite and continue showcasing their relationship goals on social media.
