Gospel artist and philanthropist Karangu Muraya’s wife, Triza Njeri, has been trending following the circulation of a private audio clip where she passionately defended her husband.
The audio surfaced shortly after her successful album launch, and it stirred mixed reactions online. In the clip, Triza was heard urging others not to prevent Karangu, the father of her children, from attending her event, despite past misunderstandings between them.
The leak triggered heated debates among fans. Some supported her stance, while others criticized her for standing by her husband following previous public disputes. Despite the backlash, both Karangu and Triza maintained a united front, reassuring the public that their bond remained intact.
Allegations soon emerged about who might have shared the audio. One of Triza’s close acquaintances, Wairimu Wa Muchiri, was accused by mutual friends, including Githaiga Wa Chai, of being behind the leak. This development further intensified online criticism, with some netizens questioning Triza’s role as a brand ambassador for several companies.
In an emotional TikTok live session, Triza addressed the issue, expressing her disappointment and emotional distress. Without directly naming anyone, she called out the betrayal from someone she once trusted deeply.
“The insults I’ve received since the audio came out have been overwhelming. I chose to trust, but it has backfired. I will leave everything to God,” she said tearfully during the live broadcast.
She also clarified that she had no intentions of retaliating or seeking sympathy, stating:
“If people say I’m looking for sympathy, that’s fine. I’m not here to trend anymore. I’ve done my best, and if that’s not enough, I leave it to God.”
Triza concluded by expressing hope that despite the current challenges, she would find peace and guidance moving forward.
